Convicted 911 Phone 'Swatter' Rings Up New Federal Charges
Trowbridge pled guilty in November 2007, to one count of conspiracy to use access devices to modify telecommunications instruments and to access protected telecommunications computers.
In May 2008 U.S. District Judge Jane J. Boyle sentenced Trowbridge to 5 years in Federal Prison, followed by three years of supervised release. Judge Boyle also ordered Trowbridge to pay $73,578 in restitution & imposed numerous Special conditions while on supervised release that included: Not entering into any self employment while under supervison without prior approval of the probation officer, participate in the Computer and Internet Monitoring Program that allowed the probation officer to install equipment to his computers to monitor all his online activities / unannounced inspections of his electronic devices and not to incur new credit charges or open new lines of credit without approval of the probation officer unless the probation officer made a determination that the defendant fully satisfied the restitution obligation.
yc.news spoke with victim Tom Welsh who's business Photographix Inc in Dallas Texas was Swatted by Trowbridge and his gang. Welsh said the defendant's never paid the $1000 owed to him in restitution. " I didn't recieve 1 penny " " These jerks terrorized me " " One morning Cops busted in my business guns drawn screaming "get on the ground" forcing all my customers onto the floor". " It was embarassing & traumatizing " " I'm not surprised to hear that idiot get arrested again " " I hope the judge throws the book at him this time. "
Trowbridge was released from Federal Prison in November 2011 & began operating a Collection Agency Business called the Ameripay Corp while on Supervised Release.
If convicted of the new crimes, Trowbridge faces a mandatory 2-year term of imprisonment on the aggravated identity theft charges and up to 10 years in prison on the remaining charges.
